ADAPT

ADAPT is unique in that its office is located in Long Xuyen, An Giang. Our project sites are located throughout the provinces of An giang and Dong thap, concentrating in districts along the border between Cambodia and Vietnam.

We strongly feel that the ADAPT office should be located as close to our sites, 2.5 hours from the border of Vietnam and Cambodia. This proximity allows us to provide quick support and direct interaction with our recipients so to quickly intervene when necessary.

ADAPT’s Long Xuyen location not only helps us better serve the girls, but also facilitates our access to the local communities. As required of every INGO operating in Viet Nam ADAPT’s local counterpart is An Giang University, also located in Long Xuyen, the largest city and capital of An Giang province.

ADAPT aims to build a monitoring web that involves the local communities to reduce the risk of trafficking in the region. We believe that in the long run, the local community, rather than outside organizations is the most important actor in this fight against human trafficking.
